Message Bridge

Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 August 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of Message Bridge ("the Software"), provided by Jeffrey Huber, sole proprietor, California, USA ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software you agree to these terms.

1. Orders and payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com Market Ltd is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns, and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable sales taxes, VAT and GST.

2. Licence

On payment we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on Macs that you own or control, for personal or internal business use. The licence includes all 1.x updates. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the Software, or remove or circumvent its licensing or integrity checks.

3. Free trial

The Software includes a 14-day free trial with full functionality. When the trial ends the Software stops performing its bridging functions until a licence is activated. No payment details are required to start a trial.

4. What the Software does on your Mac

The Software reads your local Apple Messages database and exposes results to AI assistant software running on the same Mac, under rules you configure. It requires Full Disk Access, granted by you in macOS System Settings, and requires your explicit confirmation before sending any message. You are responsible for how you configure it and for the messages sent from your account.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Software to access messages you are not entitled to read, to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or bulk unsolicited messages, or in violation of applicable law or the terms of any third-party service you connect to it.

6. Third parties

Message Bridge is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc., OpenAI, Anthropic, or xAI. Your use of those companies' products remains subject to their own terms.

7. Updates and availability

We may publish updates from time to time. We may modify or discontinue features, and we may stop supporting operating system versions that Apple no longer supports. Security fixes for a version you own are provided free of charge.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or messages.

10. Termination

This licence terminates automatically if you materially breach these terms. You may stop using the Software at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have where you live.

12. Changes

We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be noted on this page.
